Real-time phase measurement and correction of dynamic multimode beam using a single spatial light modulator

In this Letter,a novel system for adaptively correcting the phase of a dynamic multimode beam is proposed.While using merely one spatial light modulator,the phase measurement of the first-order diffraction pattern and the correction of the zeroth diffraction order are simultaneously realized.The real-time experimental result is obtained at a control rate of 10 Hz.The power-in-the-bucket value is improved from 38.5%to 61.8%,even with fundamental mode content that is consistently below 30%.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first implementation of real-time adaptive correction of the entire multimode beam.     

Crosslinked poly(ethylene oxide) containing siloxanes fabricated through thiol‐ene photochemistry

Homogenous amphiphilic crosslinked polymer films comprising of poly(ethylene oxide) and polysiloxane were synthesized utilizing thiol‐ene “ click ” photochemistry. A systematic variation in polymer composition was Carried out to obtain high quality films with varied amount of siloxane and poly(ethylene oxide). These films showed improved gas separation performance with high gas permeabilities with good CO₂/N₂ selectivity. Furthermore, the resulting films were also tested for its biocompatibility, as a carrier media which allow human adult mesenchymal stem cells to retain their capacity for osteoblastic differentiation after transplantation. The obtained crosslinked films were characterized using differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, FTIR, Raman‐IR , and small angle X‐ray scattering. The synthesis ease and commercial availability of the starting materials suggests that these new crosslinked polymer networks could find applications in wide range of applications. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 80.5 MeV/u碳离子诱发铜靶的放射性剩余产物测量

高能重带电粒子能直接穿透靶原子核外电子层,与原子核发生直接碰撞,发生散裂反应,产生一系列具有放射性的剩余产物核.重带电粒子诱发靶材放射性剩余核与辐射防护和人员安全有着密切联系,当前,大部分剩余核产额主要依靠蒙特卡罗粒子输运程序进行模拟计算,其准确程度亟需通过实验测量进行准确评估.本文利用能量为80.5 MeV/u的(12)^C⁶⁺粒子对薄铜靶开展了辐照实验与伽玛射线测量,结合伽玛谱学分析方法,得出了辐照产生的18种放射性剩余产物的初始活度和产生截面值,并与PHITS模拟结果进行对比.结果表明,PHITS模拟程序对放射性剩余核种类的估计具有较高可靠性,在其绝对产额方面,与实验测量仍具有较大偏差.     

Bis-tridentate IrIII Phosphors Bearing Two Fused Five-Six-Membered Metallacycles: A Strategy to Improved Photostability of Blue Emitters

Iridium complexes bearing chelating cyclometalates are popular choices as dopant emitters in the fabrication of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). In this contribution, we report a series of blue-emitting, bis-tridentate Ir^III complexes bearing chelates with two fused five-six-membered metallacycles, which are in sharp contrast to the traditional designs of tridentate chelates that form the alternative, fused five-five metallacycles. Five Ir^III complexes, Px-21 – 23 , Cz-4 , and Cz-5 , have been synthesized that contain a coordinated dicarbene pincer chelate incorporating a methylene spacer and a dianionic chromophoric chelate possessing either a phenoxy or carbazolyl appendage to tune the coordination arrangement. All these tridentate chelates afford peripheral ligand–metal–ligand bite angles of 166–170°, which are larger than the typical bite angle of 153–155° observed for their five-five-coordinated tridentate counterparts, thereby leading to reduced geometrical distortion in the octahedral frameworks. Photophysical measurements and TD-DFT studies verified the inherent transition characteristics that give rise to high emission efficiency, and photodegradation experiments confirmed the improved stability in comparison with the benchmark fac-[Ir(ppy)₃] in degassed toluene at room temperature. Phosphorescent OLED devices were also fabricated, among which the carbazolyl-functionalized emitter Cz-5 exhibited the best performance among all the studied bis-tridentate phosphors, showing a maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE_max) of 18.7 % and CIE_x,y coordinates of (0.145, 0.218), with a slightly reduced EQE of 13.7 % at 100 cd m⁻² due to efficiency roll-off.

排名聚合算法在少量长列表聚合中的性能比较分析

排名聚合将多个排名列表聚合成一个综合排名列表,可应用于推荐系统、链路预测、元搜索、提案评选等.当前已有工作从不同角度对不同排名聚合算法进行了综述、比较,但存在算法种类较少、数据统计特性不清晰、评价指标不够合理等局限性.不同排名聚合算法在提出时均声称优于已有算法,但是用于比较的方法不同,测试的数据不同,应用的场景不同,因此何种算法最能适应某一任务在很多情况下仍不甚清楚.本文基于Mallows模型,提出一套生成统计特性可控的不同类型的排名列表的算法,使用一个可应用于不同类型排名列表的通用评价指标,介绍9种排名聚合算法以及它们在聚合少量长列表时的表现.结果发现启发式方法虽然简单,但是在排名列表相似度较高、列表相对简单的情况下,能够接近甚至超过一些优化类方法的结果;列表中平局数量的增长会降低聚合排名的一致性并增加波动;列表数量的增加对聚合效果的影响呈现非单调性.整体而言,基于距离优化的分支定界方法 (FAST)优于其他各类算法,在不同类型的排名列表中表现非常稳定,能够很好地完成少量长列表的排名聚合.     

Surface of room temperature ionic liquid [bmim][PF6] studied by polarization- and experimental configuration-dependent sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy

Understanding and control of the surface properties such as molecular orientations are of great importance in numerous applications of ionic liquids. However, there remain discrepancies among the previous experimental and theoretical studies on the surface orientation and structures of room temperature ionic liquids(RTIL) systems. In this article, the orientation of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium([bmin]) cation at the air/liquid interface of a characteristic RTIL, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate([bmim][PF6]), was investigated by the sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy(SFG-VS). Detailed polarization and experimental configuration analyses of the SFG-VS spectra showed the possibility of a small spectral splitting in the CH3 symmetric stretching region, which can be further attributed to the probable existence of multiple orientations for the interfacial [bmim] cations. In addition, the(N)–CH3 vibrations were absent, ruling out the prediction by several recent molecular dynamics simulations which state that portions of the [bmim] cations orient with a standing-up(N)–CH3 group at the ionic liquid surface. Hence, new realistic theoretical models have to be developed to reflect the complex nature of the ionic liquid surface.     

Surface passivation in n-type silicon and its application in silicon drift detector

Based on the surface passivation of n-type silicon in a silicon drift detector(SDD), we propose a new passivation structure of SiO2/Al2O3/SiO2 passivation stacks. Since the SiO2 formed by the nitric-acid-oxidation-of-silicon(NAOS)method has good compactness and simple process, the first layer film is formed by the NAOS method. The Al2O3 film is also introduced into the passivation stacks owing to exceptional advantages such as good interface characteristic and simple process. In addition, for requirements of thickness and deposition temperature, the third layer of the SiO2 film is deposited by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition(PECVD). The deposition of the SiO2 film by PECVD is a low-temperature process and has a high deposition rate, which causes little damage to the device and makes the SiO2 film very suitable for serving as the third passivation layer. The passivation approach of stacks can saturate dangling bonds at the interface between stacks and the silicon substrate, and provide positive charge to optimize the field passivation of the n-type substrate.The passivation method ultimately achieves a good combination of chemical and field passivations. Experimental results show that with the passivation structure of SiO2/Al2O3/SiO2, the final minority carrier lifetime reaches 5223 μs at injection of 5×10¹⁵ cm^-3. When it is applied to the passivation of SDD, the leakage current is reduced to the order of nA.
